CBD
CBD dosing – how to do it efficiently? An appropriate dosage of CBD will allow us to achieve the desired effects, including relaxing, therapeutic, supporting the body’s immunity, and improving sleep.
CBD, or cannabidiol contained in hemp plants, is a substance that has an extremely beneficial effect on the functioning of the human body. It has anti-inflammatory properties, relaxes, and relieves pain. It is increasingly used in diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, cancer, and anxiety.
Nowadays, thanks to the steadily growing popularity of CBD, there are more and more options for taking it. It occurs in the form of dried flowers (inflorescences), oils, as well as gel capsules and creams.
How to CBD dosing?
Although there is no definite answer to this question, it is worth remembering a few basic rules on how to implement the correct CBD dosage. The details, however, depend on the predisposition of the body and the result you want to achieve by taking cannabidiol.
It is worth starting the exploration of the topic by getting to know the minimum and maximum dose that can and should be taken in order to be able to expect visible effects.
As research shows, as little as 1-2 mg of CBD a day is the minimum dose that is felt for the body. In the case of the upper threshold, no precise limit has been established, but it has been confirmed that even an extremely high dose of 600 mg per day is not able to cause negative side effects. Although such a portion is well tolerated by the body, it is not recommended to take it; Application of up to 300 mg a day is definitely sufficient, therefore there is no point in taking more. If you are unsure, consult a specialist before using CBD.
Regardless of whether you want to get help in treating a specific condition, or it is a way to calm down and relax after a busy day, it is worth starting with lower doses of CBD and then increasing it if necessary.
How to start CBD dosing?
It is assumed that it is good to start dosing with lower concentrations, e.g. 5%, and take 10-20 mg every 4-6 hours. This is the time of complete metabolism of CBD in our body. After a few days, you can start increasing the dose to 40-60 mg per day. Of course, there are people for whom such doses do not bring the desired results, so you can start with even 60-80 mg a day.
People who want to use CBD oil to calm down, improve sleep quality and overall relaxation should start with the lowest concentration. People who want to implement CBD oils to support the treatment of serious diseases such as epilepsy or Parkinson’s disease should, in consultation with their doctor, start with a higher concentration, e.g. 15% or 25%.
Increasing the CBD dose and taking brakes
For CBD oils, it is recommended to start with as little as 1 drop two or three times a day. However, different CBD percentages in oils will result in a different percentage of cannabidiol per drop. It’s a good idea to start with a low dose and keep it on for the next few days to carefully study your body’s response to CBD. After a few days of use, you can increase the dose to 2-3 drops taken 2 or 3 times a day. In the beginning, it is also worth reaching for a low-concentrated oil. It can be replaced with a slightly stronger equivalent over time. You should wait at least 30 days for the desired effects.
When using hemp oils, it is important to take them regularly. However, there is also a method that assumes planned breaks for several days in taking the substance. This is aimed to constantly reduce the body’s tolerance to CBD, which results in its better effect. This method is usually used by people with neoplastic diseases.
How to apply CBD?
We already know from what doses of hemp oil to start taking it and how to increase the daily doses. So the only fundamental question remains: how to apply CBD oil to the body?
The most popular method of taking hemp oils is oral application. The substance should be taken approximately 30 minutes before a meal. We apply a certain number of drops under the tongue with a pipette. It is worth keeping the oil under your tongue for about a minute or two and only then swallow.
After application, you should also not drink or eat for several minutes. This way, the substance remains in direct contact with the mucosa for longer.
