Medical marijuana on the polish market: What to choose?

The availability of medical marijuana in Poland is a topic that stirs many emotions and discussions. However, it is worth noting that the number of available varieties of this plant, which are used in medicine, is constantly growing. Until recently, only three strains were available on the Polish market: Lemon Skunk (Red No. 2), Ghost Train Haze (Aurora 22/1), and LA Confidential (Aurora 20/1). Each of them had different characteristics, and the decision to use them should be made in consultation with a doctor.

Recently, however, the range of medical marijuana strains in our country has been expanded by a few new items. These are Bakerstreet (Canopy Growth 20/1), Pink Kush (S-Labs 18/1), Penelope (Canopy Growth), and Equiposa (Aurora). These new strains differ not only in THC and CBD content and ratio, but also in genetics – these are Indica, Sativa, and hybrid strains.

What do the new strains offer?

Bakerstreet (Canopy Growth 20/1)

Bakerstreet is an Indica strain, gaining popularity due to its high THC and low CBD level. This strain can be helpful for patients with pain symptoms, sleep problems, or loss of appetite.

Pink Kush (S-Labs 18/1)

Pink Kush is a Sativa/Indica hybrid strain. It is characterized by high THC content and low CBD content. It can be beneficial for people struggling with chronic pain, muscle tension issues, or insomnia.

Penelope (Canopy Growth)

Penelope is a Sativa/Indica hybrid with a balanced THC to CBD ratio. This versatile strain can be beneficial for patients with various ailments – both physical and mental.

Equiposa (Aurora)

Equiposa is a Sativa/Indica hybrid with a balance between THC and CBD. This strain can be helpful for people suffering from chronic pain, stress, or depression.

Each of these strains is available in various weight options, from 5g to 15g, allowing the dose to be tailored to the individual needs of the patient. However, let’s remember that the choice of strain should be made after consultation with a doctor. They know our needs and health problems, and they will help us choose both the strain, dosage, and method of taking medical marijuana.

Worth noticing!

It is worth paying special attention to the last two strains: Penelope and Equiposa. They have a balanced THC to CBD ratio of 8%. This means that they are relatively “weaker” strains, compared to other variants that have a higher THC concentration. However, “weaker” does not mean “worse”! These strains have a significantly higher CBD concentration compared to other strains. An important aspect is also the fact that the THC concentration itself is lower than in other strains. This can be extremely useful for people who have not had regular contact with cannabis before. Many people would like to take advantage of the positives that hemp brings (pain relief, improved appetite, improved sleep, etc.) – without strong psychoactive effects. The above-mentioned strains offer the benefits of using marijuana, delivering at the same time a smaller amount of THC (and therefore a smaller psychoactive effect).

Remember that medical marijuana is a medicine and, like any medicine, it should be used according to our needs and under strict medical supervision. Safety and responsibility for our health are paramount.
